For Sale: 1964 Chevrolet C10 in Cumming, Georgia for sale in Cumming, GA
Vehicle Description The 1964 model was the fifth year of the First Generation of the C series pickups for Chevrolet.
Launched in the fall of 1959 as a 1960 model, the C series debuted a number of design changes for GM light-truck design.
(C denoted conventional cab and the K series standing for 4x4 drive.
) Replacing the Task Force range, the C was developed from the start as a truck chassis, no longer sharing commonality with the GM A-body platform.
Though developed as a truck for the sake of durability, the C adopted several features from cars into its design to increase its functionality.
For pickup trucks, the C trucks used a drop-center frame which allowed for a lower cab and lower center of gravity, and independent front suspension was paired with a coil-sprung rear axle.
For 1963, front torsion bars were replaced by front coil springs (on two-wheel drive vehicles).
This vehicle is a frame off restoration with approximately 200 miles since restoration.
The result is a virtually new, highly presentable show truck.
Also special is that it is a reliable driver while retaining its period appearance.
