Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in legal cases from organization and fact finding standpoint; assist in completing standard forms with clients - Gather relevant information for cases - Organize and maintain legal files and documents using document management systems - Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys - Interview clients and clients/witnesses to gather information for legal proceedings - Assist with document review and analysis - Perform general clerical tasks, such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and filing
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal is preferred - Familiarity with document management systems and legal research tools like Westlaw - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent attention to detail for proofreading and reviewing legal documents - Proficient in transcription and maintaining accurate records - Ability to conduct interviews with clients and witnesses professionally -Ability to multitask -Spanish speaking is a plus.
